CONTROLLING OUR BEHAVIOR

At the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton Ohio, researchers hope they will develop the means for pilots to fly airplanes with their minds. The project is called "Brain-actuated control." Here's how it could work:

The pilots would wear scalp monitors that pick up electric signals from various points on their heads. The scalp monitors would be wired to a computer. Using biofeedback techniques, the pilot would learn to manipulate the electrical activity created by his or her thought processes. The computer would translate the electrical signals into mechanical commands for the airplane. Imagine being able to back and airplane's wings, accelerate, and climb another 10,000 feet, all by controlling what you think.

This technology is still in he developmental stage, but our minds already have tremendous control over one thing: our behavior. The way we think determines the way that we live. Attitude determines action.

Guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life (Proverbs 4:20). Clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the sinful nature (Romans 1:14)

Bible School Emphasis is a tool we use to remind ourselves how important it is to guide our minds and our thinking by the Word of God. I hope you'll take full advantage of the opportunities.
