Bro.James (Jim) E. Bowers has been preaching and teaching the Bible for almost 50 years. Through Alabama Christian School of Religion and Southern Christian University, he has earned a BA in Bible; MA in Theology; and an Eds Degree. He also Attended the School of Evengelism in Little Rock Arkansas where he attained all A's in Greek.  His professor was Mike Sinapiades who was a citizen of Greece. His preaching experience includes many locations throughout the United States, including the following congregations:
Alabama: Maplesville Church of Christ
Clanton Church of Christ
Prattville Church of Christ
Tanner Church of Christ
Greenbrier Church of Christ
Coxey Church of Chris
Nevada: Virginia Street Church of Christ in Reno
Alaska: Eielson Church of Christ in Fairbanks
Mississippi; Rodenburg Church of Christ in Biloxi
Arkansas: Liberty Church of Christ in Conway

In addition to serving as full-time minister to these congregations, Jim has been a guest speaker, teacher, and preacher for numerous Gospel meetings in many other locations throughout our nation. His articles have been published in several periodicals, and he is the author of "What is the Church of Christ?" .

Jim also served as an Elder for the Rodenburg Church of Christ in Biloxi, Mississippi from 1969 through 1973.

Jim's experience includes hosting weekly radio talk shows during his ministry in Conway, Arkansas from 1973 until 1975, and from 1975 until 1982, hosted by radio stations in both Prattville, and Montgomery, Alabama. His radio programs were very popular with the public and enjoyed many loyal listeners.

Jim's military career includes serving as a Technical Writer in the United States Air Force during the Korean and Vietnam wars, as well as service in the U.S. Navy in World War II. He retired from the United States Air Force on April 1, 1971
