How Quick Time Flys

Summer is already half over, but it sure has been a busy time! Hopefully most of my traveling is over until mid October, when I plan to leave for India. Perhaps I will now be able to find time to organize the Vacation Bible School records, and do some work on the Web site with Marie. School (oh! I'm sorry I said that awful word) wi ll be starting before you know it. Then Christmas will b here once again! Life is getting by faster every year. You have noticed it too? It seems that as soon as a month gets started, it is as good as gone.

We make plans about all that we intend to do: cook a meal for a friend, visit a sick church member, organize the church library, or perhaps study with that neighbor you have been trying to bring to the Lord- But time gets by so quickly that we can't seem to squeeze in those good things we wanted to do.

It reminds me of a couple of verses in the Bible. Ecclesiastes 9:10 Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work or device or knowledge or wisdom in the grave where you are going.

Ephesians 5:15-16 See then that you walk circumspectly not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because, the days are evil.

James 4.14 Whereas you do not know what will happein tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor tha appears for a little time and then vanishes away.

Yes, we make big plans. But we had better realize something. We will never live long enough to get it all done. So we had better choose carefully what we will do... and then, DO IT!
