Robert's Reflections

Time sure flies! Did you know that four years ago Faye and the girls moved here during the Tractor Pull, and I came down one month later? So we are about to begin our fifth year with this wonderful congregation. I still say this is the best group of brothers and sisters with which I have ever had the privilege to work.

Did you know that it has been three and one half years since we first did the Talent Interest Profile at Tanner? I was looking through my records, thinking it was only two years ago, when I saw the date. Surprised is a mild word for what I felt. So much has happened since we last took this important survey. We have quite a few new members. A good number of you have grown to the point that the old profile does not accurately reflect your talents or interests. There are new works and programs that have been set up or are about to be launched. Needless to say it is high time to allow you to tell your leaders what you want to do and where your interests lie.

These information sheets serve another important ftinction. They help the elders plan the direction this congregation needs to take in its future plans. They help point out needs. It also gives you a tool to help voice your concerns and desires. And the elders want this input from you.

So, please complete the sheet when it is passed out to you. Hand it in after the service. If you need more time, feel free to take it home and complete it this afternoon. But be sure to turn it in tonight so the elders can begin to meet your needs and requests. Thank you ahead of time for your cooperation.
