The Ultimate Gift

Christmas, birthday, graduation..anniversary. What do these special days have in common? Normally on these occasions, one will receive a gift ftom someone who loves them. Sometimes, out of pain or heartache, people make the mistake of doubting God's interest in or love for them. Such is surely not the case, for God loves, and proves His love by what He has done and continues to do: God gives!

Psalms 68:19 Blessed be the Lord, Who daily loads us with benefits, The God of our salvation!

Malachi 3:1 0 Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and try Me now in this," says the LORD of hosts, "if I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it.

Matthew 6:33 "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.' Matthew 11:28 "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."

John 10-28 "And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand." Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?

2 Corinthians 9:15 Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift! Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.

Now don't get me wrong! I love all the presents we receive ftom friends and family. It is just that we all need to realize that God is the ultimate giver, and as such offers the ultimate love. If we are grateful for all the stuff we get from people, just how grateful should we be for all the incredible gifts that God has given to us? Let us say thank-you by being loyal to our giving Father.
