Robert's Reflections

"Sirs, we would see Jesus"

In spite of threats against His life, Jesus went up to Jerusalem for that final Passover feast. After the triumphal entry into Jerusalem, Jesus was talking to his disciples, when some Greeks approached. Let John tell you what happened. "Now there were certain Greeks among those who came up to worship at the feast.  Then they came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida of Galilee, and asked him, saying, "Sir, we wish to see Jesus. " (John 12:20-21 NKJV)

We have something in common with Philip. We are also asked to let men see Jesus. But, just like Philip, we have a choice. We can help people see the Lord, or we can hinder their seeing Him by standing in the way. May we ever try to let men see Jesus in us, and may we never allow our own sinfulness to block their view of Him who died for all.
