l. THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST
A. Christ is coming in order to save mankind (Hebrews 9:27-28; Philippians 3:20-21; 1 John 3:1-3).
B. Jesus promised that He would return, and this is guaranteed by His resurrection (Acts 17:30-31; 1:9-1 1; I Thessalonians 4:16-18; 2 Thessalonians 1:5-10; Revelation 1:7).
C. No man knows when Christ will return (Matthew 25:13; Acts 1:7:1Thessalonians 5:1-4).
D. Jesus will return in the clouds (Acts 1:9-1 1; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18; 2 Thessalonians 1:6-10; Revelation 1:7).
ll. THINGS THAT WILL TAKE PLACE WHEN JESUS RETURNS
A. The dead will be raised (John 5:28-29; 6:40, 44, 54; Revelation 20:12-13; 1 Corinthians 15: 5 1; 2 Thessalonians 1: 5-1 0).
B. AlI men wiII be judged (Matthew 25:31-46; Revelation 20: 1 1 -1 5).
C. Christians will be glorified (Colossians 3:4; 1 John 3:2; Philippians 3:20-21; 1 Corinthians 15:51-52).
D. The wicked will be punished (2 Thess. 1:7-9; Rev. 1:7).
E. The present order will pass, and Christians will live in heaven (2 Peter 3:4-13).
F. The kingdom will be delivered up to the Father (1 Cor. 15:20-28).
lll. THE JUDGMENT
A. All men and women of all ages will be judged (Rev. 20:11-15; Matt. 25:31-46; 2 Cor. 5:10; Romans 14:10-12).
B. Jesus Christ will be the judge (John 5:22, 27; Acts 10:42-43; 17:30-31; 2 Tim. 4:1).
C. All men and women will be judged by the word of God (Rev. 20:12). The Jews who lived under the law will be judged by the law (Rom.2:12). All men since Christ will be judged by the gospel (Rom. 2:16; John 12:48).
lV. HELL
A. Jesus knew of a burning hell (Mark 9:47-48; Matt. 5:29-30; 10:28).
B. Hell is a place of everlasting punishment (Matt. 25:46).
C. Those whose names do not appear in the book of life will be cast into a lake of fire (Rev. 20:15).
D. The devil and his angels will be cast into hell for everlasting torment (Rev. 20:10).

V. HEAVEN
A. We should lay up treasures in heaven (Matt. 6:19-21).
B. Christ went to heaven in order to prepare a place for his disciples (John 14:1-4). C. The Christian's citizenship is in heaven (Philippians 3:20).
D. Christians should seek those things that are above (Colossians 3:1-2).
E. After this earth passes away, there will be a new heavenly home for the
faithful of God (Rev. 21:1-4).
