MODESTY
Let's ask ourselves the questions below concerning MODESTY.
Is it possible that the dress (male or female) incites others to immoral thoughts or actions?
Does our actions, parrell to the clothing we wear, reveal anything about our character?
How can we determine the standards for dress? Is it based on what society dictates?
Does a Christian have a greater responsibility in the matter of choosing his dress than does the non-Christian?
To live as a Christian requires a change in values.
The gospel works at the very heart of the person's being.
Changes in the inner man are reflected in conduct and appearance.
Priorities, standards, and values must be re-ordered.
A Christian is to be more than just a nice person. He has a unique relationship with the Creator.
We are a partaker of God's divine nature.
Paul has summed up our goals in life.
We have a standard to live by as Christians.
To Sum Up
Modesty is a reflection of our commitment to Christ.
It applies equally to dress and conduct.
It taste in clothing causes us a problem, we need to look at our heart more closely.
When there is a question as to it's propriety, the answer must always favor the Christian principles before us.
