Jesus of Nazareth was born in an obscure country, the child of a peasant woman. He grew up in a remote village where He worked in a carpenters shop until He was thirty, and men was a preacher for three years. He never wrote a book. He never held an office. He never went to college. He never traveled 200 miles from the place where He was born. He never did anything that usually accompanies greatness. He had no credentials but Himself. While He was still a young man He was rejected by popular opinion. His friends abandoned Him when He needed them the most and then He was turned over to His enemies. He went through a joke of a trial and then He was hung upon a cross between two thieves. When He was dead, He was taken down and laid in a borrowed grave Through the pity of a friend. Twenty centuries have come and gone, and today He is still the center of the human race.<\/strong><\/span> All the armies that ever marched, all the navies that ever were built, all the parliaments that ever sat, and all the kings that ever reigned put together have not affected the human race as powerfully as has this one solitary man- Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Throughout history the influence of Jesus Christ has surpassed all others.<\/strong><\/span> There has been no other leader in the history of the world that has inspired so many positive changes. Historian Philip Schaff describes His overwhelming influence by saying: “This Jesus of Nazareth, without money and arms, conquered more millions than Alexander, Caesar, Mohammed, and Napoleon; without science shed more light on things human and divine than all philosophers and scholars combined; without the eloquence of schools, He spoke such words of life as were never spoken before or since, and produced effects which lie beyond the reach of orator or poet; without writing a single line, He set more pens in motion, and furnished themes for more sermons, orations, discussions, learned volumes, works of art, and songs of praise than the whole army of great men of ancient and modern times.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Very few would argue that this man has had more impact on the world than any other person in history.<\/span><\/strong> Jesus is responsible for the way our society is organized and even for the way we live. Jesus and Christianity have extensively contributed to our laws, economics, politics, art, our calendar, our holidays, human rights, compassion and mercy, marriage and the family, education, science, free Interprise and work ethic, music, literature, and even our government of the people. Many say he was the greatest man who ever lived? Yes, He is! But the question is, Was He who He claimed to be? The I AM, Eternal, God in the flesh?
