The core idea is simple but deeply countercultural: instead of relying primarily on self-sufficiency, you anchor your life in God&#8217;s character, guidance, and promises. It&#8217;s not passivity or laziness; it&#8217;s active confidence that God is wiser, stronger, and more faithful than we are. You still work, plan, and act-but you do so from a place of surrender rather than self-reliance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What Dependence on God Looks Like in Daily Life<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Trusting God&#8217;s wisdom<\/strong><\/span> &#8211; Proverbs 3:5-6 calls us to trust the Lord with all our heart and let Him direct our paths. Dependence begins with humility: acknowledging we don&#8217;t see the whole picture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Seeking God first<\/strong><\/span> &#8211; Jesus teaches in Matthew 6:33 that life aligns when God&#8217;s kingdom is the priority. Dependence shifts your focus from anxiety to pursuit of God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Praying continually<\/strong><\/span> &#8211; Prayer is dependence in action. It&#8217;s how you bring needs, fears, and decisions under God&#8217;s care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Obeying even when uncertain<\/strong><\/span> &#8211; Dependence means trusting God&#8217;s commands even when outcomes aren&#8217;t clear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Resting in God&#8217;s strength<\/strong><\/span> &#8211; Paul says in 2 Corinthians 12:9 that God&#8217;s power is made perfect in weakness.
