“Have you prayed about it?” This is a frequently asked question in the lives of Christians. Why? Because as Christians we know that we can’t live without God’s blessings! How foolish would it be for us to not depend on God? Whatever the situation is we know that we can’t do it alone. What an opportunity we have to go to God in prayer!
“Epaphras, who is one of you, a bondservant of Christ, greet you, always laboring fervently for you in prayers, that you may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God. For I bear him witness that he has great zeal for you, and those who are in Laodicea, and those in Hierapolis” (Phil 4:12-13). We see that Epaphras was a long way from the brethren in Colossae, but he was directly involved in their growth through prayer. Am I directly involved in the work here through prayer? We see that he prayed with such fervency that it was called “labor”. He did it “always”. Have I labored in prayer lately? Epaphras prayer was for the congregation to stand complete in the will of God. Is that my prayer for Tanner? And lastly we see that he had great zeal for them. When we care enough about someone or something we take it to God in prayer. HAVE YOU PRAYED ABOUT IT?
DON’T FORGET TO BE INVOLVED IN OUR WEEK OF PRAYER
